Our Week in Snapshots x2

We spent the week before last in Cancun, if you haven’t noticed the overload of photos here on the blog. 😉 Our kids were obviously very exhausted from traveling and spent the last week sleeping in all afternoon like teenagers- kinda nice/ kinda worrisome but we’re back on normal schedules now. We got home just in time to celebrate my birthday with friends and family. After spending the morning celebrating Norah’s birthday at the gym, he got a babysitter and took me out for a fancy Fleming’s dinner. Afterwards, I was totally caught off guard when my whole family was waiting at the most delicious gelato spot downtown. I was so surprised and felt really loved. Thanks guys! We did a girls birthday celebration for Heather and I with friends at Red Rock- always so delicious! More celebration on Saturday night for Heather at the Dust Bowl with friends.

The last couple weeks have been FILLED with busy fun! Norah had her last day of school (what!?) and celebrated with a year-end party. She has made so many sweet forever friends this year. 🙂 We celebrated Norah’s 5th birthday too! I can’t believe my girl is 5. It seems like just a moment ago I was looking into her dark eyes for the first time. She had the best time celebrating at her gymnastics birthday with all her friends. On her actual birthday, we celebrated with cinnamon rolls for breakfast and a family swim party. Thankful for the beautiful evening!

Mother’s Day was a fun celebration too! We did church and lunch with the family and then ventured out for a walk/bike riding adventure. Perfect family time for this Momma… and for our big girl, who learned to ride her bike without training wheels. Another milestone!

In addition to all the celebrating, we met sweet new twins- Jett and Jax, explored the zoo with our buddies, took many runs (pushing two big kids is quite the work out!), and hunkered down for nasty stomach bug. May has been filled with fun- but I welcome sunny weather and a more care-free  June!
