When we woke to icy roads and freezing temps my heart sank a little. It would be another day spent indoors. I’m beyond ready to kiss these wintry days goodbye in favor of exploring the park or camping out at the pool. In order to avoid going nuts, sometimes you have to get creative when you’re home all day with little ones. Today, we tried to embrace the snow as much as possible with a fun craft, game, and snack. Thanks again, Pinterest.
I cut out the white circles and carrot nose and she used a glue stick to push them down. She q-tip painted all these little snowflakes and a smile by herself. Proud little lady! 🙂
Yes, Tucker is sitting on the table. No matter how many times we pull him off this is where he likes to be. Best seat in the house apparently.
Bulls-eye Ball Throwing.
This was a bit of a bust with the kids being a little too young to get the concept. But, we had fun playing catch and roll anyway. His bed-head is something new every morning and it’s my favorite. 🙂
Cinnamon Snowflake Tortilla.
Emmy could not have been more excited about this one. She wanted her full baking gear on for the job! I let her sprinkle the cinnamon and a little sugar after I’d spread a thin layer of butter. We popped them in the oven for ten minutes and the kids enjoyed a fun and festive treat.
I think her face says it all! She was so funny posing for this picture and kept asking to see it on my camera. 🙂
By the time we finished our snacks and looked outside, the roads were totally clear so we cleaned up to break free in search of some chalk paint and a new bathroom mirror. 🙂 Please say that’s the last of the snow?!
