How is there only 9 days left until Christmas??? This year it totally snuck up on me! There is so much left to do and so little time to squeeze it all in! It doesn’t help that the whole first half of December has been spent dealing with stomach bugs, colds, coughs, and fevers. BLEK! I think we’re finally out of the woods on that junk and ready to pack in all our favorite traditions and to-do-lists for the big day.
Amazon Prime has been my mom life hero once again this holiday season. I’ve done the majority of my Christmas shopping online, thanks to them. If you’re looking for toddler gift ideas for your shopping cart this season, here’s a few I’m excited about…
1. Books are my favorite gifts to get for the kids for any event. Emmy LOVES to read and it’s a big part of our bedtime routine. I want to make sure both of my kids are excited about reading so I believe a good book stash is a great investment in their education. Not to mention, it’s a great way to connect with your kids and send them off to bed feeling loved. 🙂 Emmy loves Little Critter and Clifford books so I got her a few Christmas/winter themed ones to unwrap (they’re so cheap too).
I saw this book at a baby shower, came home, and immediately ordered it off Amazon. Rosie Revere Engineer has the cutest pictures and a great message about embracing your creativity and never giving up. I can’t wait to hear Emmy retell this one to her baby dolls. ($10.70)
2. Okay, the Peerless Performer Microphone was actually Grandma’s idea and is actually Grandma’s gift. But, I think it’s the best idea and I know this will be a favorite of Em’s for ages. She got a hold of a microphone stand at the children’s museum in Chicago and it was hilarious. She is such a performer! I can’t wait to see all the shows she’ll put on with this adorable gift. ($29.99)3. Doctor Kit. Ever since Em got her first taste of Doc McStuffins over the summer, she’s been the queen of “check-ups”. She asks for the Daniel Tiger episode where he goes to the doctor nearly every morning (insert big mom waaa). Sometimes she spends nap time reading books and playing with animal friends instead of sleeping and her excuse is always, “I had to give giraffe a check-up!” So, a doctor kit seems like the perfect gift for this little doc in training. Amazon had so many options for this but I went with this one because of the price and amount of accessories… ($11.92)4. This is another present from Matt’s parents but it’s something Matt’s been talking about since he heard boy at the ultrasound, a basketball hoop. He can’t wait to teach Tuck how to dunk on his little hoop and I can’t wait to watch this father/son sports thing come to life. 🙂 ($39.99)
5. Angie got Tucker this little Dusty airplane ride-on for his birthday and it’s been the family favorite ever since (I think every little man needs one of these!). Everyday I get the pleasure of refereeing as they both want to pilot at the same time. Now that Emmy’s almost 3, I think she’ll understand the concept of standing and kicking on a red flyer scooter. I can’t wait to watch these two race around chasing each other on their scooters. I had this one in my cart on Amazon for $17 and forgot to order it and it went up to $44 so I ended up ordering off Target ($29.99 + free shipping).
I can’t wait to watch the magic of Christmas morning with my two little loves. Happy online shopping! 🙂
