Our Week in Snapshots

After a fun weekend in South Padre Island, we flew home to re-group for Thanksgiving and Christmas fun. We had a blast doing the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. The kiddos LOVE races and did great in the 28 degree weather. Norah ran almost the whole mile and when Jonah saw the finish line, he jumped out of the stroller and took off! I love seeing my kids so excited about something I love. πŸ™‚ We recouped from our big race with popcorn and the Penguins movie. My heart swells with all this family time! That evening, we had a quiet, delicious Thanksgiving dinner with family and spent timeΒ playing games and talking. The rest of the week was dedicated to house chores- leaf pick-up, Christmas lights, new chandelier installation. We sure did LOVE the beautiful weekend weather!

Some sweet friends from Houston came to visit on Tuesday. The kids love their new friend, WrenlyΒ and we enjoyed late night laughs, lunch dates, and attempts at group photos with them. πŸ™‚ On Thanksgiving morning we flew out to Chicago to be with Grandma and Pops for the holiday. The kids did great on the flight and we were just SO happy to be flying rather than driving this time. We’ve been enjoying all the family time and making as many memories as we can. Emmy got to see her first show, The Grinch, at the beautiful Chicago theatre. We even braved the bitter cold and made it downtown for ice skating with the littles. More vacation photos and stories to come… πŸ™‚
