The World you have entered was created by The Walt Disney Company and is dedicated to Hollywood—not a place on a map, but a state of mind that exists wherever people dream and wonder and imagine, a place where illusion and reality are fused by technological magic. We welcome you to a Hollywood that never was—and always will be.—Michael Eisner, May 1, 1989
Our favorite moment at Hollywood Studios was watching Daddy be part of the Indiana Jones stunt show. When they asked for volunteers, Josh stood up and yelled. Both of the kid’s jaws dropped as they watched Dad move to the front of the crowd. A million and one questions started, “What he doing?” “Why?!” “Where is he going??” When the show started, Josh was dressed up and unrecognizable. Jonah was on the verge of tears as the show proceeded, insisting that the bad guys were going to get Daddy or that he would be blown up by the fire. In the end, both kids were cheering and giggling!
Another unforgettable moment was riding Tower of Terror with our 4 year old. She was so brave and wanted to do EVERYTHING that she met the height requirement for. As we made our way up to the ride, she giggled at the “spider webs” in the house and kept her brave face on. As the ride dropped out of the sky, she clenched her Daddy’s arm with a death grip and tensed every muscle. Exiting the ride, she exclaims, “That was a WEIRD elevator. I don’t want to ever do that again!”
We watched lots of shows (a few too many for these busy bodies) and enjoyed Fantasmic at the end of the night. Our favorite shows: The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and the Indiana Jones show. Our favorite rides: The Star Wars ride, Toy Story and Tower of Terror. Our favorite places: Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground and the Frozen snow dig.
