Well, we missed “Our Week in Snapshots” with Angie’s family at Disney World and my in-laws in town. So, I thought I’d share a little bit about our weekend with the family…
Matt’s parents drove in from Chicago and brought GG with them. Matt’s Grandma is just the sweetest and I feel so thankful any time my kids get to be around her. She’s not your typical Great-Grandma in that she doesn’t mind laying on the floor to color or getting on her knees to play catch. We’re thankful for the time we got to spend with her over the weekend, especialy listening to her stories about meeting Great-Grandpa for the first time and how she slept on his arm every single night. So sweet.
We did a trip to the pumpkin patch, a pumpkin carving contest, and church on Sunday. Our pumpkin carving contest with HJ and Chelsea ended in a victory for Matt and I (thanks to our genius Olaf idea). 😉 We’re not competitive or anything. Now, capturing a picture of the four of us with our pumpkins was quite an episode. I feel like we should have had someone videoing Lyn as we all barked orders on how to take a picture with an iPhone (ay-ay-ay).
Emmy adores having a party of family at the house nonstop. Her and Tucker were in their glory with all the attention and love. We’re so thankful to be surrounded by people who cherish our kids. It means the world to us.
See you at Thanksgiving Smith clan! 🙂
