Turkey Lettuce Wraps- YUM!

Okay, here’s a new recipe for your fam that’s full of color and flavor. It’s delish! I made a few changes to a recipe I found on Pinterest and voila! 20140401-165258.jpg

Here’s what ya need…ingredients3

  • Head of lettuce
  • 1 large onion
  • 1.25 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 cup broccoli slaw
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Asian chili garlic sauce
  • 1/4 cup Hoisin sauce
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Now make it up like this…

  • Rinse lettuce leaves and keep them whole for your wraps.
  • Chop up your onion and sauté in a large pan with a little coconut oil until their translucent
  • Add the ground turkey and stir often to break it up
  • Gradually add in the broccoli slaw, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and chili sauce. Let it cook until turkey is browned.
  • Add chopped green onions and red bell peppers to the mixture. Continue to cook and stir for 4-5 minutes.
  • Turn off heat and stir in sesame oil.
  • To serve, scoop turkey mixture into lettuce and wrap up. ENJOY!20140401-165336.jpg
