Best Friends, Sunshine, and Dolphins

Over the weekend I flew to Florida and went on a cruise to the Bahamas with my two best girlfriends. In short… we laughed a ton, ate way too much, and spent our days In the sunshine. I felt entirely spoiled by my husband for pushing me to plan this trip, footing the bill, and being his usual super dad self while I was gone. I felt completely relaxed and confident he’d do great without me and that is a seriously rare gift I’ve come to realize.

I was able to totally unwind, take multiple naps, and be completely free for four whole days. I will forever treasure the memories made with these girls. We had so many great chats about all we’ve been through together. The good, the bad, and the embarrassingly awkward phases for sure. We’ve grieved together, celebrated together, and everything in between. Nothing can replace these women in my life. They hold a very special place in my heart and I know God had such a perfect plan so many years ago when we met. This time away from everything left me feeling so blessed and thankful and seriously ready to squeeze my babies and hubs. This time away also left me with a bajillion photos on my camera roll so here we go.. (Caution: may cause severe beach envy).. For that, I am sorry!

Mine’ and I flew into Orlando on Wednesday and got to stay the night at our friend Lauren’s beautiful new home. Before we boarded the boat the next morning, we got breakfast and a tour of Lauren’s design work at Marilyn Monroe Spas. Gorg! Wish we had time for a pedi…

Day one… exploring our new home for the weekend…

Night one…

Day two…

Nothing like waking up in the Bahamas…

Our excursion was the best. We took a boat to Balmoral island and swam with a dolphin named Fiona. She loved us. 😉 It was an amazing experience! We spent the rest of the day soaking up the sun. I even fell asleep on the beach. What a  perfect mom-life dream come true.

Night two…

Day three… out to sea… imaginative french toast, sun bathing, mini golf, water slides, stir fry, and lengthy naps…

Last night on the boat 😦 Which called for lots of ridiculous selfies and cheesy boat photos of course. Mine’ almost disappeared during a magic show, we made friends with a talk show host, sang some B Spears karaoke, and made the most of our last moments together…

Sadly “Girls Cruise 2014” is over. It’s time to start planning for next year… 🙂
