Girl’s Night

Tonight some girlfriends came over to watch the bachelorette (late I know!) and just chill together. We ended up barely watching 20 minutes of the show and just talking and laughing about everything from a to z instead. I am SO thankful to have these times with friends that just recharge me. I had a rough morning of sorts, probably pregnancy related, but I mostly just needed a good cry. Sometimes being a mom, on duty 24/7, is overwhelming and it’s been even more difficult with little energy and mobility lately. I didn’t realize how badly I needed a night to just laugh with friends and vent about silly stuff.

Having time for yourself is incredibly important and makes you a better mom in my opinion. I am so thankful for these “girls nights” and the wonders they do for my sanity. πŸ™‚ So, thank you friends for coming over so I didn’t have to get a babysitter, making me feel like super-mom/pregnant lady simply for making you popcorn, and making me laugh incredibly hard and forget all about feeling like a massive blimp for the night.

Also, this is a friendly reminder to you moms to make time/plan for nights like these for your own well-being. Having time with your friends to unwind and not be responsible for someone else is healthy. Plan a girls night now if you haven’t in a while. πŸ™‚
